Under EU and UK regulations, if Loganair cancels your flight, it must offer you a choice between:
- A full refund for the unused part of your ticket, including taxes, fees, and any paid extras, or
- Rebooking to your final destination at no extra cost
These rights apply no matter why the flight was cancelled – whether due to bad weather, technical problems, or airline operational issues – and whether the cancellation happens weeks ahead of time or at the last minute.
How to Get a Refund for a Cancelled Flight?
Visit Loganair’s website and click on “Manage My Booking”. Log in using your booking details.
Once your flight is officially cancelled, you will usually see an option to request a cancelled flight refund online. If you don’t see this option, contact the airline’s customer support or submit a request through the airline’s refund form.
To avoid delays, keep your booking reference, passenger details, and ticket number ready. Airlines are legally required to refund the unused ticket when they cancel a flight, regardless of the reason.
After submitting your request, save all confirmation emails and check your original payment method for the refund. Refunds are typically processed within up to 7 days. However, your bank may take between 3 and 21 days to credit the money back to your account.

In most cases, no — Loganair tickets are generally non-refundable.
However, if you booked a Fully Changeable ticket, you may be able to change your travel date for free. If you purchased a Changeable ticket, you can usually change the date but will need to pay any fare difference.

What Is Flight Cancellation Compensation?
Flight cancellation compensation is an additional payment you may be entitled to receive on top of a refund or a replacement flight. It is meant to cover the inconvenience and disruption caused by a Loganair cancelled flight.
It’s important to know the difference:
- A refund for a cancelled flight returns the money you paid for your ticket.
- Compensation for cancelled flight is extra money paid (in addition to a refund or a new flight). Certain conditions must be met to get UK/EU flight compensation.
You may be entitled to flight cancellation compensation if:
- Your Loganair flight was cancelled last minute – less than 14 days before departure, and
- The cancellation was within the airline’s control (for example, staffing issues, airline crew strikes, technical faults, or operational problems)

- One of the options is to contact Loganair yourself. Call Loganair of fill their online form. Fill in the form, give all the details about your flight, including how long was the delay, and what was the reason for delay. Refer to the Regulation UK261 or the EC Regulation 261/2004 (if it was a flight from the EU/EEA).
- Use a flight compensation firm. Flight compensation companies handle the entire process for you, including dealing with Loganair and challenging claims that have been rejected. Yes — in some cases, you can legally receive both a flight cancellation refund and flight cancellation compensation.
If your flight was cancelled less than 14 days before departure and the airline was responsible, you may be entitled to:
- A full refund for your cancelled flight ticket, and
- Compensation for a cancelled flight under UK261/EU261 passenger rights rules
Both payments must be made in cash or returned to your original payment method. Airlines cannot force you to accept vouchers or travel credit instead.
